Exploring Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG

The wine news has been full of the launch of “Pink Prosecco” this week, but you will not find any in these upcoming virtual tastings in November. Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG is (along with Asolo) designated Prosecco Superiore, the most historic, traditional, terroir-driven example of the category. Producers in this UNESCO world heritage designated region decided against changing their laws to allow a rosé version, preferring to concentrate on traditional varieties with a long history in the steep vineyards of this small zone.

In November, we are hosting virtual masterclasses featuring leading producers of the region, and their top wines. The next masterclass will take place on the 19th November at 11am, and will be led by Sarah Abbott MW. Guests will be sent in advance a selection of wines from producers in diverse styles, and that reflect the different terroirs of the zone. An on-demand version is also available by arrangement, for those who cannot attend on the day.
