DESCRIPTION

The second annual Georgian Trade and Press Tasting was held at the beautiful and renowned, 67 Pall Mall, a private members club for wine lovers.

More than 100 exquisite wines were shown characterizing the diversity of the regions, terroirs, grapes and the wine styles of this resurgent and dynamic wine nation.  Styles represented included aromatic whites and supple reds from contemporary large producers, as well as artisan wines from Qvevri in both Amber and Red wine styles.

We showcased the growing number of wines and diversity of styles of wines available from Georgia, with key press, influencers and consultants enjoying the breadth of styles of these high quality, artisanal wines.  We also held two Masterclasses with leading industry experts focusing on ‘Qvevri Myth Busting’ and ‘Incorporating Georgian Wine in your Wine List’.

WHO CAME

The Tasting was attended by over 60 guests from the UK wine trade and press, including 6 MWs, sommeliers, off-trade buyers, distributors and press.  The tasting was also attended by HE Ambassador of Georgia and the Trade.
